Serving as chief investment office, Nick Raich, CFA, strives to build portfolios that maximize return and minimize risk. “I revel in analyzing the ever-changing variables that impact future economic growth,” says Nick, “and separating the signal from the noise.”
Nick is founder and CEO of The Earnings Scout, an independent macroeconomic research firm that specializes in earnings trends. He is widely recognized as a leading expert on corporate profits and makes frequent appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg TV, as well as in national and regional print media, such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and The New York Times.
Nick’s background includes 25 years of experience as a director of research at Key Bank, National City and Zacks Investment Research in Chicago, IL. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University, in Youngstown, OH, where he studied finance and received his master’s degree. Nick was honored as Youngstown’s State Most Outstanding Alumni in 2004, and has served as a member of the Forbes Investment Panel. Nick also a chartered financial analyst (CFA), a professional certification offered internationally by the CFA Institute.
When not following financial markets, Nick spends time with his family. He coaches his son and daughter’s AAU basketball teams and is an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Cavs fan. Nick resides in Olmsted Falls with his wife Lindsay, two children, dog Daisy, and two cats.
