With a background in security analysis and data management, Ben Tegel focuses on individuals, business owners, and wealthy families planning for or at retirement. He concentrates on tax-efficient investing and researching risk-managed investments that fit the continually changing global markets and economy. “I thrive on helping people through important decisions in their lives,” shares Ben, “and seeing the freedom that building their wealth provides them.”
Ben launched his financial advisory practice in 2005 before co-founding Auxin Group in 2015. Prior to starting his own practice, Ben worked for Morningstar, Inc., a leading provider of independent financial research and analysis, as well as Merrill Lynch and UBS.
Ben earned an economics degree from the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, where he played football. He also is a 2009 recipient of the Greater Akron Chamber’s “30 for the Future” award, which honors young professionals whose stellar contributions impact their industries and the Greater Akron Region.
Ben is currently completing his Certified Financial Planner designation, a professional certification for financial planners conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He is a lifetime trustee of the Akron Children’s Museum, board member for Akron Cooperative Farms, and founder of the Outdoor Classroom in Akron and Morningstar Market Prep in Chicago.
A resident of Bath, Ben lives with his wife Tessa, two sons and dog Hershey. He enjoys playing basketball, football and chess.
